BSc Physiotherapy (Honours) Research topic: “Landing Techniques in Adolescents in Sports”

Annissa has over seven years’ experience working as a physiotherapist in a private practice setting.

She has completed her Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy majoring in Continence and Pelvic Health from Curtin University.

Annissa can treat a wide range of Women’s Health conditions such as urinary or bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, constipation, dyspareunia (painful sex) and endometriosis. She can also treat pregnancy related conditions.

Annissa loves being in the gym, with a strong focus on exercise rehabilitation. She has completed her Matwork and Pilates certification through the APPI, currently acting as one of their course tutors.

She combines Pilates based movement education with her hands-on skills to get clients to their peak performance.

Annissa’s Honours research focussed on the landing techniques of adolescents in sports.

She developed a special interest in working with adolescents and dancers after publishing this research. Annissa has worked with a range of sporting teams from WAFL to ballet.

Annissa has also completed additional training in dry needling.
